  • The First Day Fulton Back-to-School Pep Rally is a free back-to-school event for parents and students to attend on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at Banneker HS and North Springs HS. On-site school registration will be available. The event will include a Health & Wellness Fair offering COVID vaccinations. Pre-registration is not required to attend.

  • Budget ServicesFollowing the budget parameters previously approved by the Board of Education, the FY 2022 Superintendent's Proposed Budget for the 2021-2022 school year was presented by Chief Financial Officer Marvin Dereef and adopted at the June 8, 2021 board meeting.

We are currently following the lead of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Georgia Department of Public Health (GDPH), the Fulton County Board of Health (FCBOH) as well as other local, state, and federal agencies to make sure we have the most up-to-date information available.

  • NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE

     

    The Fulton County Board of Education has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 3.12 percent.

     

    All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at South Learning Center, 4025 Flat Shoals Road, Union City, Georgia on July 22, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

     

    Time and place of additional public hearings on this tax increase is at North Learning Center, 450 Northridge Parkway, Sandy Springs, Georgia on August 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

     

    This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 17.590 mills, an increase of 0.533 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 17.057 mills. The proposed tax decrease for a home with a fair market value of $300,000 is approximately $24.31 and the proposed tax decrease for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $300,000 is approximately $24.72.

     

    The proposed millage rate of 17.59 is a reduction to our current millage rate of 17.796.
